  This Rental Home was amazing! It has the views you come to expect at Deep Creek. It has Wildlife all around and the grounds are landscaped very nicely. The house is over the top. The indoor pool was just the right size and depth for kids and adults. It had just enough pool toys and seating areas and was heated and offered expansive views out the large windows. These windows also offered views into the kitchen and living room. Thanks for the safety features or auto pool cover, high door knobs and pool alarm. What a week in the pool! The game room is a winner as well. The games a pinball, pool, racing, golf, PAC man and much more. It offers a game for anyone. We had teenagers that pretty much lived in there. The skylights and design of the house was laid out very well. The new release movies offered some down time for parents and kiddos before nap time. We enjoyed the outdoor chairs and cool breezes looking down in McHenry. We enjoyed the hottub and the grill worked very well too. The kitchen was well equiped with all our needs and the table, bar and island allowed all of us to easily sit together for our meals. The AC worked wonderful and water pressure was amazing and plenty of hot water! The bedrooms upstairs were very large and all Kings with spacious baths. We slept well, played hard and recharged all week. We played putt putt golf outside and had a camp fire and cooked smores. We had the cool experience of seeing a bear, deer and "pork chop" the ground hog near the property. Thanks for an amazing stay!! This is a place we would highly recommend! Thanks again!!!!

  A little over 2 months ago we started looking to purchase a vacation home at Deep Creek Lake. We got in contact with Railey Realty and Russell Bounds as the agent. The experience we had with Russell was exceptional. He went out of his way to find the perfect home for us and nothing was ever too much. We looked at many homes and threw a lot of questions at him and never were we disappointed in the answers because they were honest, direct and very quick, due to his great knowledge in the real estate business. Russell turned the searching and buying process into a great experience. In less than 3 months we are closing on our perfect dream home. Russell deserves all the stars that are available on the score sheet, and more.

• Review of "Blue Moon Rising Cabins on Deep Creek Lake" at McHenry

  Best quiet hideaway we've found within a 1/2 day's drive from DC. The tiny homes are simple, but comfortable, thoughtfully designed and accommodating. The lofts are great for kids, but pick a house with one that is appropriate, especially if you have young ones. With a little guidance, our 3 year old had no problem with the Moonshine loft though she had to be supervised. We also loved Moonshine for the Murphy bed. Its bench doubles as two cushioned seats for dining and when folded up, there is lots of extra space for day use. We stayed during a frigid stretch with wind chills downwards of -20 but the house was always cozy warm. The radiator heat is also great for drying out winter mittens and hats! There is a little sledding hill just above the reception building by the camp fire that is perfect for little ones so don't forget to bring a sled in the winter time. The customer service and welcome is exceptional. When you arrive, they'll drive you and your gear up to your unit with a golf cart. They are always ready to cart you up and down the hill to or from your unit during your stay. We went to sleep with the soft glow of Christmas lights on our porch and woke up to wildlife tracks outside our front door!

  My family and I have visited several times. We have had a great time. Beautiful cabin, centrally located for skiing in the winter and boating in the summer. You can't go wrong. The hot tub is a great add on.
